Provide relevant training and information for Department and Component personnel relative to environmental planning, historic preservation and natural management. Included will be topics on current significant Administration Departmental and Component initiatives with perspectives from Component and field personnel.
Intended Audience:
Departmental and Component personnel with environmental planning, historic preservation, and natural resources management responsibilities.
ENERGY Objectives:
Describe and discuss current significant Administration, Department, and Component initiatives, including Executive Order 13423 (Strengthening Environmental and Energy Management). Provide information and perspectives from Component and field personnel.
Intended Audience:
Departmental and Component managers with environmental management, environmental planning and historic preservation, and energy responsibilities.
OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY & HEALTH Objectives:
Describe and discuss current Departmental and significant Component initiatives, review safety and health policies. Provide information and perspectives from Component and field personnel.
Intended Audience:
Departmental and Component safety and occupational health managers and specialists, industrial hygienists, environmental health officers and interested collateral duty safety officers.

Provide relevant training and information sharing opportunities for Department and Component personnel.

Departmental and Component personnel with environmental planning and historic preservation responsibilities.
RECORDS, PUBLICATIONS & MAIL MANAGEMENT
DHS RECORDS MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATION TRAINING Objectives:
Provide relevant training and information on the DHS Records Management Instruction, Procedures, and Policies to include strategies for completing other records requirements (i.e. contractor records management training). Upon completion of this two day training session, participants will receive their DHS Records Management Certification.
Intended Audience:
Departmental and Operational Records Officers and Managers who have completed and received their NARA Records Management Certification. This training completes the series of training curriculum for Records Officers and Managers. Liaisons and Coordinators are welcome and may attend if available training seats are available. However, Liaisons and Coordinators without NARA Certification will not receive the DHS Records Management Certification.
ELECTRONIC RECORDS MANAGEMENT IMPLEMENTATION TRAINING Objectives:
Provide the implementation strategy for the DHS ERMS solution (discuss prototype and pilot activities), implementation requirements and timelines to include the Component required actions in support of the Component ERMS implementation, when they need to occur, funding strategy, and overall program timeline.
Intended Audience:
Departmental and Operational Records Management Leadership, Resource Managers, and CIO IT Personnel. Records Officers, Managers, and records liaisons and coordinators are welcome to attend.
LIBRARY MANAGEMENT Objectives:
Demonstrate Department-wide access to research tools. Update attendees on current and planned activities. Provide information across DHS regarding Federal Records Management legal requirements and responsibilities as well as current and planned activities.
Intended Audience:
Researchers, program managers and all Departmental and Component library employees. Departmental and Component staff, Records Managers and Liaisons.
MAIL MANAGEMENT Objectives:
Describe and discuss current significant Administration, Department, and Component Mail Management initiatives. Provide information and perspectives from Component and field personnel.
Intended Audience:
Department Mail Managers and program analyst within the mail management program.
PRINTING ● FORMS ● DIRECTIVES MANAGEMENT Objectives:
Provide information, training, demonstrations, and discussions of current and planned activities pertinent to the listed program areas.
Intended Audience:
Printing, Forms, and Directive Management Program Managers, Analyst/Specialists; primarily, however other areas are welcomed that have interactions and cross collaborations with Printing, Forms and Directives Management are welcomed and encouraged.
ASSET & LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT
REAL PROPERTY ● PERSONAL PROPERTY ● MOBILE ASSETS Objectives:
Promote the concept of One Department, One Administrative Services, One Asset Management. Provide opportunities for information sharing among Headquarters and Component staff. Describe and discuss current and planned initiatives. Provide information on best practices, training requirements, and automated systems.
Intended Audience:
Component staff and on-staff contractors who are responsible for implementing and managing these programs. Presentations will also be of interest and benefit to managers who will work on functional integration initiatives.
